HYDRO-ELECTRIC POWER PLANTS: Small Scale

PLN have identified a total of 75 potential small Hydro-Electric generation sites of which only a small number have thus far been developed. CONNUSA expects to have a continuing and continuous role in the development of these plants. Work has already been undertaken on the following plants:

The scope of the work consisted of Pre-feasibility Studies which required the determination of existing irrigation system developments, collection of data on Topographic Surveys, Geological Surveys, Geophysical Investigations, Hydrological Surveys, and also preliminary grid connection analyses to existing power systems. The resulting reports were used, in part, for development of Independent Power Producer schemes to support increasing regional power demands. CONNUSA was part of the consultancy team for the Pre-feasibility studies.
